Frequently Asked Questions

What will I get out of planning?
When planning, our objective is to seek the path, not from A-Z but from A-B. There is generally a choice of more than one workable alternative. On conclusion of the planning exercise you should be able to make informed decisions, avoid costly mistakes and take advantage of unexpected opportunities.

How often do we meet?
We meet with clients frequently during the year while implementing their plan. The amount of time this takes is determined by the work that is needed. Interim appointments are scheduled in advance to take care of upcoming transactions. When changes in circumstances occur we may redo the plan and make adjustments to our servicing schedule. We are available during the business day for consultation by telephone and are always pleased to schedule appointments when a client asks us for a meeting.

In what kind of assets do you invest?
All of the products we handle are registered for sale and include selections of bank GIC’S and Savings accounts, Mutual Funds, Segregated Funds and Insurance policies.

Can you provide us referrals?
We wish we could name many of our clients and others with whom we do business, however we have given our word that personal information will be kept confidential.

Who will work with me?
In the initial meeting, you will meet with a senior level planner. When the project begins several team members will work with you. A financial Advisor will provide ongoing service. If we implement change and provide guidance regarding your investment and insurance program you will also have the advantage of working with my partner Stuart Cox.

What should I bring to the initial meeting?
Bring all documents relevant to the issues and concerns you have, such as your last tax returns, investment statements, pension statements, cash flow budgets, net worth statements, terms of loans, and insurance policies. You may be asked to complete in advance of the meeting, a Financial Snapshot to help us be better prepared to answer your questions.
